We at SMES endeavour in reviving The age-old method of teaching in a fresh child friendly environment meticulously handled by a group of dedicated faculty. SMES has adopted a combination of activities which are enriched through a variety of practical experiences and hands on activities

Mathematical Magic

Under this program we try to erase all the fears from the minds of the tiny tots relating to mathematics. Gradually they develop an interest in mathematics as they realize the magic of it through, Vedic maths, Abacus and Mentulators. These programs reduce their fear and burden and improves their concentration, memory as well as visualizing power.

Creative Study

Creative program increases an individual’s performance by enhancing productivity to bring out the best in them. Memory boosters, Think Wide and Personality Development are the well chosen programs under this category to make the child more vibrant and improve his/her personality by developing mental skills, confidence and cultivate a positive attitude to fight all odds in life.

Yoga

Yoga plays a vital role in the physical and mental growth of a child. Keeping this in mind, the school has introduced yoga classes for class 4 to 10, handled by experts in the field. Karate

To meet the various challenges of this fast moving world, mere academic training is not enough. There would be multiple challenges on the way to progress. A child should be mentally and physically fit and strong as well. A child in S.M.E.S receives an integral fitness and self defense training under his karate instructor.

Newspaper-in-education

There is special emphasis on increasing a student’s knowledge in other areas a part from academics. Newspaper-in-Education (NIE) – an initiative from one of the leading publications in the state, has been introduced to students to improve their general awareness. Fortnightly interactions with experts from different fields are organized to increase student’s exposure to the outside world.

Parents Meet

Parents are encouraged to participate in their ward’s development and offer valuable suggestions towards school improvement. Regular meetings with parents are held to inform them of their child’s progress.

Robotics

Robotics workshops are held regularly to introduce experiential learning (STEM) to our students. These classes are conducted to enhance our children’s knowledge in the field of Science and Technology and to develop interest towards them.

Communication Classes

To help children succeed in today's world with confidence, it is important to equip them with strong communication skills. The school has introduced spoken English classes for all students which are conducted by specially appointed, qualified and experienced guest faculty.

Road Safety Education

We have regular outsourced faculties to help our children understand the importance of safety on the road when walking as a pedestrian or as a driver driving vehicle and be a responsible citizen in case of any accidents.

ABACUS

Recognising the very modern system of learning Mathematical skills, we help our children to calculate any big or critical mathematical problem in a very easy way through Abacus.

Clay modelling

To kill the boredom of learning through books and chalkboards, we allow our children to play with clay and have fun by communicating with friends and teachers and share their ideas and creativities, which also improves their social skills.
